Satellite Foundation
Satellite Foundation supports children and young people with a family member living with mental illness. Since 2019 I have produced, directed, and edited their content needs including event and program videos, educational resources, and community-building social content.
As an organisation centred on youth voices, the work has asked me to genuinely adapt my practice: running workshops, building in real creative agency at key points in the process, and creating environments where young people feel safe telling their own stories.
That’s Mental
A short film project that support young people to tell their story.
These are resources that are used in both school and clinical settings to start conversations around difficult topics like eating disorders, being a young carer or depression and anxiety.
Satellite Slam
A video for one of the most important events of the year.
Stigmabeat
Stigma Stevie is an animation about a young person’s experiences of stigma and a stigma-fighting superhero that needs a hand. The story and characters were developed from StigmaBeat participants’ ideas and tested with them in the creation process.
The StigmaBeat project employed a co-design approach to create short films to identify and challenge mental health stigma from the perspective of young people.
