Cert III in Beekeeping

With Melbourne Polytechnic

In 2023, we produced a suite of training videos and photos for the Certificate III in Beekeeping.

We worked with Melbourne Polytechnic and its partners to produce a series that includes hive work, wax extraction, box construction and biosecurity practices. The shoot happened during the varroa mite outbreaks, which made the biosecurity content feel especially ‘live’ and relevant.

We worked with the good people at McDonald Honey and Lakeside Honey adapted and learned a lot in the process. Students, especially those in remote areas, have found the videos valuable for visualising live demonstrations.
