Good Beginnings Pre-marriage course

with SZCC and Benevolence Australia

This course was developed by Benevolence Australia and the Sir Zelman Cowen Centre at Victoria University to support respectful relationships. It's empowering, values-led, and practical.

We led the creative development - shaping the video content, designing the platform, and editing the materials.

The course integrates Islamic law, the internationally recognised relationship psychology and OurWatch principles. The videos included interviews with married couples from the community as well as scripted scenarios with our fictional young couple “Zeynab and Adel”.

Endorsed and encouraged by the Board of Imams Victoria, the course is now being delivered in communities across Australia and overseas.
